Earth
Natural clay and mineral materials form the foundation.
Objects for everyday rituals, created from one of humanity's oldest materials and reimagined for contemporary living.
MANN & FORM begins with earth.
Long before objects became products, clay was shaped by hand into vessels used for cooking, storing, serving and gathering.
Across generations and cultures, the material remained remarkably simple: earth, water, hands and fire.
MANN & FORM was created to explore that relationship again.
We work with makers and ceramic craftspeople in India to create functional objects that respect traditional materials while belonging naturally in contemporary homes.
We are at the beginning of that journey. This is not about recreating the past. It is about carrying something timeless forward.
MANN is inspired by “മണ്ണ്”, the Malayalam word for earth.
FORM represents the human act of shaping that earth into something useful, beautiful and enduring.
EARTH → FORM → FIRE → OBJECT
A material story, told in four quiet stages.
Natural clay and mineral materials form the foundation.
Each object begins with proportion, function and the hands that shape it.
High-temperature firing transforms soft clay into durable ceramic and stoneware.
The finished object enters the home — to serve, hold, cook, gather.
MANN & FORM works with skilled ceramic manufacturers and craftspeople in India.
Our approach combines established ceramic techniques with contemporary proportions, restrained colours and functional design.
Every collection will focus on material, usability and longevity. Subtle variations created by hand, glaze and firing are treated as part of an object's character.
Objects should earn their place in the home.
The material should remain visible and honest.
Proportion and silhouette matter more than decoration.
We design objects meant to be used, not simply displayed.
Our first collection is currently taking shape.
India has one of the world's oldest relationships with clay.
MANN & FORM looks to that material heritage without being defined by nostalgia. Our goal is to create contemporary objects from India that can sit naturally in a home in Kochi, London, Copenhagen, New York or Tokyo.
For MANN & FORM, good design must also be functional, consistent and safe. As our collections develop, we are working with manufacturing partners to evaluate materials, glaze quality, durability, food-contact requirements and packaging suitable for modern homes and international delivery.
Materials. Craft. Testing. Transparency.
